V&S's DocHauler Program Wins Square 9 Innovation Award

Posted January 16, 2019

V&S Midwest Carriers recently won an award for its development of an innovative program that implements processes to electronically store documents.

Our own mobile app, DocHauler, won the award for “Most Innovative Solution” last fall at the Encompass Conference presented by Square 9 Softworks, an office technology solutions event, in Nashville. The award was based on our implementation of DocHauler with Square 9’s GlobalCapture program, which together use automated process workflows to store documents electronically in a content management system.

DocHauler was developed right here at V&S, and it fills an industry void. It’s a solution better than anything else the industry had to offer. As a result of its use, administrative workload at V&S was reduced by 60 percent. We are also saving $135,000 annually in expenses related to paperwork.

“We have software-specific needs in our industry, and this program has made a huge difference,” said Don Dains, V&S operations manager and vice president of technology. “Our documents are now being collected over the road with our drivers right after they deliver. This speeds up our billing process so cashflow is improved, and the paperwork is not even coming back to the office.”

V&S is dedicated to carrying out a set of four principle values, one of them being creativity. This electronic document storage initiative and development of DocHauler is an example of how we look for and implement innovative ways to find solutions and improve processes. Our forward way of thinking means we continually provide resources like this to help our team succeed.

We’ve made DocHauler available to other trucking companies. For more information on this time- and money-saving tool, visit DocHauler.com.
